Hello Strangers!

did you think i'd forgotten about you?! NEVER!

it is true, i have been away from here for longer than i had realised, but for a good reason, finishing high school! Yes that right, mid November saw me finishing my final exam, and walking out the school gates for the last time.

This year has been extremely horrible for a number of personal reasons, but i am looking on the new year with an excited anticipation to move forward. I have been accepted into a art course for next year at a wonderful university and am really excited to see where that will take me.

This christmas is going to be very different, made smaller by one moving out and one passing away, but once again, am trying to find a positive, and embrace the spirit of the season, which in former years had passed me by untouched. Well, enough from me. I hope you all have a happy, wonderful, safe Christmas, surrounded by everyone you love :)

p.s regarding icon posts: because of the crazyness of the past months, i have not made many new icons. I have a few batches made months ago that i had never posted ... i will sort through these soon hopefully and post some here.
As to when new icons will be made.... i am not sure..... my computer died over a month ago, and is waiting on being fixed. For the time being i am on my brothers computer, which does not allow me a lot of time to get together a good post for you all.

Hopefully it wont be to long! Now that i am on holidays i would love to get back in making them :D

A few weeks ago I started watching Buffy The Vampire Slayer, something I had been meaning to do for ages and I'm already completely obsessed!! When the show was originally airing, I was just that bit too young to watch it. In the past few years I've fallen in love with many Joss Whedon creations, Firefly, Dollhouse, Dr Horrible etc and decided that all this pointed to me loving Buffy if I watched it... and I was right!
I'm up to the last few episodes of series two at the moment..... just seven more to go!

As a result of this new obsession, you can expect to see more Buffy related fan art at this journal, so if you like Buffy (and why would you not?) keep an eye out. Hopefully I'll have a batch of quote icons up later this week.

A bit of a mixed bag today. Not the best bunch of icons I've ever done, but I thought I'd post them anyway.
I discovered 'The Asteroids Galaxy Tour' when Mette (the singer) appeared on
a recent episode of Never Mind The Buzzcocks. They are well worth having a listen too

Also, hooray!! I've just got my tickets to see Dylan Moran next April!!!!!

Like the new layout? It's very autumnal (i think that's how you spell it :-P)
I have learnt from my previous posts that i really do need to post them in smaller batches. I've made a whole bunch of Pride & Prejudice (2005 movie version) icons, as well as some for Ladyhawke, The Asteroids Galaxy Tour and Black Books. I also have done a HUGE batch of Keira icons from the adds she did for Chanel.

Hello all, it's been too long!! I still haven't made anything new, sorry. I've been busy holidaying (i.e hanging around the house) But I am feeling refreshed, and I have gotten a whole heap of new images to work with. They include David Tennant, Billie Piper, Lily Allen, Keira Knighley, Scarlett Johansson, Zooey Deschanel, Ladyhawk, Pirates Of the Caribbean, Black Books and Skins. That's a LOT of pictures (i kid not, over the past few days i have saved 1645 images of Zooey Deschanel alone!!). So if any of those people/shows catch your interest, make sure to keep an eye open, and I really promise to have some stuff done soon.

its definately been a while! as predicted i have been quiet busy. And only a few hours
ago I fnished my final end of year exam for this year.
Just one more year and i'll be done!! YAY

It was my birthday earlier this month! :-D i had a fantastic time, and now that exams
are over and stuff, i have a few date planed with mate to celebrate.

Next week I'm still at school, but then it's the start of holidays so i should be making some
new fan art stuff around then. So keep your eyes peeled.

School tomorrow

Well, this is it... the last night of term 3 holidays. I'm gonna cry! I don't want to go back to school. Plus I'm only back for around a month and then we have end of year exams!!!
On the plus side, it means that I am one step closer to being rid of school forever! HA HA HA (me and school don't mix)
I'm so depressed.....I would eat my body weight in chocolate, but unfortunatly we have no chocolate in the house. That in itself is a crime!

I'm not sure what this will mean in terms of art posts. I'll probably be busy with my art folio and such. But then, I do tend to end up on photoshop making fan art when I should be studying.

Oh, I just remembered. I am doing my new design folio on Secret Diary Of A Call Girl so there will be some photoshop stuff of that up. I'm designing a DVD cover for a box set of the first two series as well as a billboard promoting the DVDs release. My design teacher thought it was a really good idea surprisingly. I thought he'd make me pick something else.

He was amazing!! Absolutly Hilarious!
I'm still grinning from ear to ear!
He played the keyboard, acoustic guitar,electric guitar, a lute,
the theremin and at the end he even played a digeredoo,
though he kept laughing, saying it had an unusual smell to it.
he's so cute!

One of the funniest pits was when he was talking about the theme
tunes of Australia's television new programs.
-He said that channel 10 was like a 1980's disco
-Channel 9 was really intense and had morse code in the
background that spelt out" A-R-S-E"
-(my favourite) was ABC theme, which he said sounded like interpretive
dance music. He then picked up two gymnastics ribbons and started dancing
around the stage with them as the theme played! You can hear it HERE
I'll never be able to listen to it in the same way again.

HERE you can see him doing his Purple Haze joke, from the night I went to.
I was sitting in row S on the floor, to the right of the center of the stage.
Not as close as when I saw Dylan Moran (5 rows from the stage) and
i could smell his cigarette smoke,

On the downside, my feet are covered in blisters, because we went out to
dinner beforehand, and walked around for a bit.... I was wearing a new pair
of shoes.... things didn't end well. But if i have to get blisters to see Bill Bailey,
then i'll damn well get blisters!!!
